Using the quote markup seems to shrink the font thereafter, at least with IE 6 on Windows 2000.

Can this be fixed, or should I get new glasses?

quote:

This is the quote

And this text gets very small.....

Fix: Download Firefox on http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/. Regardless of what problem you may be experiencing with any version of IE, this is a guranteed solution. Not only does it render pages correctly because it supports true web standards it also is not dangerous to use(IE has made me a lot of money in house calls to "fix" customers' computers because it accumulates lots of unwanted "software" and also trojans). I know it's not the answer you were looking for, but at least someone has told you about the existance of better browsers.

I am aware there are better browsers. But I don't get to chose the browser on the machine I usually use.

How does the text following quotes look to you?

I've looked at the html source, and I can't see any reason for what's happening.

It's diminished in size on my system too, both my one at home (Mozilla) and my one at work (IE).

Aonghus,

the small text is being generated by the board.

The quote command was set to reduce the font size of the quoted text. I removed the font tags from the script. Hopefully this will fix the problem. If not, I'll play with it a bit this weekend.

Promhadh eile

Agus céard faoin dtéacs seo: fós beag? Tá, faraoir.

I think perhaps there may be a problem with embedding blockquote tags in table. Perhaps adding a font tag after the quote might fix it.
