Le bhur gcead ba mhaith liom sibh a chur ar an eolas maidir le Stórchiste Dátheangach: 'Focail i bhFócas', an chéad stórchiste do Ghaeilgeoirí. Foilsíodh i mí na Samhna 2003 é agus tá sé ar fáil ón fhoilsitheoir'Coiscéim'i mBÁC, Éire ar 15 Euro. Is as Cathair Ard Mhacha an scríbhneoir, dálta bhur mbunaitheoir!
With your permission may I inform you of a bilingual Thesaurus 'Focail i bhFócas',the first thesaurus for Irish speakers. It was published in November 2003 by 'Coiscéim' in Dublin and costs 15 Euro. The writer is from Armagh City like your founder!

Le buíochas / With thanks,
Seán Mac Cionnaith

I couldn't find it on the website, but I know they stock it (because I bought it from them).

Calling this the first Irish theasaurus might annoy a man called Breandán Ó Doibhlin, who published an excellent Irish thesaurus called "Focal le Gaoith" back in 2000!

Or even Gaoth an Fhocail.

He called it "Foclóir Analógach"

It's a very good book - but in Irish only. The othr is bilingual.

Links to both @ litriocht.com

http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=267

http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=960

Note that Litríocht.com say Gaoth an Fhocail is the first Thesaurus... . But then, Seán only claimed to have produced the first bilingual Thesaurus.

I have (and use) both.

Tá 'Focail i bhFócas' as cló. Ach tuigtear go mbeidh tuilleadh cóipeanna foilsithe ar ball.
