Dia daoibh, a chairde, Upon a querie of another I've taken on the task of trying to write a well wishes salutation for a friend/ ex-co-worker of hers who has gone on to a better job. I'm by no means a "Hallmark" poet, so in trying to be brief, but slightly sentimental with a bit of humor, I've come up with this. Go bhfaighe tú ór ar ceann bhogha báistí! Agus ar lá faighte ort é, meabhrú duit roinnt ar ais dom a teilg! ;) Go n-éirí an t-ádh leat! Cronfaidh mé go géar túsa! May you find gold at the end of the rainbow! And when you do, remember to cast some back for me! ;) Good luck! I'll miss you sorely! Remember that this is for a card and a little poetic leeway is allowed. Go raibh maith agaibh roibh ré. Maidhc. |

A Aonghus, a chara, Go raibh míle maith agat. I see that the finer points still elude me.(Most of the coarser ones as well, unfortunately.)I'll be sure to keep a copy of that one to look upon for myself so that some of it may soak in. One can hope! Again, I thank you. Slán, Maidhc. |
