Dia daoibh a charide, Is Alex mé agus tá mé ag foghlaim(sp/correct word) Gaeilge...tá ceist orm... Is a lenited letter counted as one? Like since the dot was place/is placed, does it count as one letter in the end of a word? Like PRETEND Maith was a verb...and you would say "Maithidh mé" or "Maithaidh mé".....Sorry for using Maith, but my vocab is so limited... but the question here is about the t being slender from the i....does the h/dot make it so the a can be there, or is it not counted as such and all put into a "group letter" like ch sometimes is in spanish? |

Maith is a verb - to forgive I'm not sure what tense you are trying to use; but h does not change the rule of slender with slender, broad with broad. Go to An Foclóir Beag and type in maith to get all the forms. You will have to scroll down the page, because maith means a lot of things. |
