The North An Tuaisceart
The South An Deisceart
The East An Oirthear
The West An Iarthar

but....
going north ag dul ó thuaidh
going south ag dul ó dheas
going east ag dul soir
going west ag dul siar

and...
The North Wind An Gaoth Aduaidh
The South Wind An Gaoth Aneas
The East Wind An Gaoth Anoir
The West Wind An Gaoth Aniar

(because winds come from that point of the compass.

e.g. North America - Meiricea Thuaidh
South America - Meiricea Theas
etc..
