A Dion,
Jennifer is a foreign name which came into Irish in the form Sinéad (as did Jean, Janet, Jane). The diminutive of Sinéad is Sinéadín. If you add -ín to the end of any Irish name, it means a little version of the original. Jenny is a diminutive or a pet form of Jennifer, hence Sinéadín.

Wouldn't that be Sinéad (mhór)? Lenition after a feminine noun? Or are names different?
