What is the word for "comic book" in Irish? This is probably a very stupid question, but I'm just starting to learn and I haven't been able to find the word in any dictionaries or books... I actually need to write the word "web comic" - does it exist in Irish? Thanks... |

Some new things have Irish words which are only beginning to be used, so not everyone might recognise them, especially out of context. greannán is mostly used for printed comics. I'd suggest Geannán Gréasáin for web comic |

Greannán = comic; So for your 'web comic' I might offer: Greannán gréasáin. Others may prefer 'greannán lín'. Take care / Slán a Lorgaire. |

Mar sin atá, go deimhin. Castar na haistriúcháin dá chéile, ach ní chastar na cnoic ná na sléibhte! Ag caint le fear Gaeilge le mo thaobh a bhí mé. Murach sin, bheimis go díreach ar an mbuille díreach céanna ama. |

Thanks a lot, guys. I hope I'll be comfortable enough with my Irish someday so I can post here and talk to you. Maybe in a few years. Thanks again. |
