I am just beginning to try to learn some Irish. I wish to be able to pronounce my Gaelic surname: O'Ceadagain as well as my name, John and the names of my children Timothy, Michael and Susannah. Go raibh maith agat. |

You can find many Irish name sites through your search engine. There are variations of each name, but these are some I found: John - Seán (shawn) Timothy - Tiomóid (TIH-mohd) Michael - Mícheál (MEE-hawl, mee-HAWL); Micheál (mih-HAWL) Susannah - Súsanna (SOO-suh-nuh) I had more difficulty finding a pronunciation for your surname, but I doubt it's much different than the English. Probably someone will come along who can help you more with that. Le meas (Respectfully), Dawn |

That would be "Ceadagáin". And it sounds like a pepper spray product for girls tryin' to keep away creeps of all sort. CAD-A-GONE. -Maidhc. |
