If anyone knows, I was just curious.

Is é dúirt sé liom "Níl sé ina lá;
Tá bunadh a` tí `na luí is tá mise liom féin"
Is é dúirt sé liom "Níl sé ina lá;
Siúil go duras agus éalaigh liom."

Thanks,
Karen

What he said to me was "It's not a day;
The household has gone to bed and I'm by myself"
What he said to me was "It's not a day;
Walk to the door and escape with me."

That second line is: "Tá bunadh an tí ina luí"

and last line, it's spelt "doras"

What she said to me was...

PS: Níl sé ina lá means day/morning has not broken yet

Good one Aonghus, that didn't sound at all right to me. So the finished piece is something like

What he said to me was "It's isn't daybreak yet;
The household has gone to bed and I'm by myself"
What he said to me was "It's isn't daybreak yet;
Walk to the door and escape with me."
