Can someone help me please. My name in English is McCaffrey and my name in Irish (which I intend to use from now on) is MacGafraidh. I would like to know if the pronunciation is the same. Thank you in advance for your help.

The Mac which is Iish for son is given a broader pronunciation as in Mack. The G has a little less K than the English C and the rest of the name is the same as in Caffrey. "Mack Gaffree." At least, that's the way we pronounced itin Mayo.
