Láimhseáil/ionrámháil means management in the sense of handling or maveouvering, I don't think they are correct in this context. Cúrsaí dochtúireacht. I believe the genetive is required here - cúrsaí dochtúireachta. Imeachtaí is the usual term for events. Even though comhchomhairle is given as the first translation in my dictionary - comhdháil is the more common term. However I am open to correction. I have not always given a word for word translation. Grammaticians and grammarians please check. Ádh Mór |

"Enter bulletin board to find interesting information updated dynamically" "Download the faculty guidebook (.doc)" "Check your e-mail" Téigh isteach sa Chlár Builitíní chun aimsiú eolas suimiúil dátaithe suas go dinimiciúil. Luchtaigh an leabhar treoraí na dámh síos (.doc) Fiosraigh do phost-l - Clár = "a board" or "a forum" Cláir = "boards" or "forums" -Phil |

Antemil, Please be aware that even though I consider myself to have a reasonable grasp of Irish, I am open to error on the finer (and grosser) points of grammer and syntax. I am now going to confuse matters by altering some of my suggested translations. On searching Google I find that "íoslódáil" is by far the most common Irish form of "downloading" as opposed to the much less frequent use of "íoschóipeáil" (there are many other constructions in use). So:--- Other downloads:- íoslóid eile (In truth, I'm not happy with the sound of that either, 'twould be nice to here some more contributions!) "Download the faculty guidebook (.doc)" Íoslódáil treoirleabhar na ndámh (.doc) "Download virtual guide (.doc)" íoslódáil treoir fhíorúil (.doc) Bulletin Board: Clár fógraí (much better than "clár nuachta") "Enter bulletin board to find interesting information updated dynamically" Wow!!! I can't translate that word for word , it makes very uneloquent Irish. I would suggest - "Clár fógraí le heolas suimiúil athnuaite go rialta." "Check your e-mail" - Seiceáil do ríomhphost Phil, a chara, "Luchtaigh AN leabhar treoraí na dámh síos (.doc)" That sentence is incorrect, I'm afraid - When the genetive is preceded by the definite article, the noun which it qualifies is not preceded by the definite article. Therefore "an" should be omitted. Leabhair treoraí ? na Ndámh - Genetive plural requires "úrú" after "na" "Fiosraigh do phost-l". I assume that's an abbreviation of "post leictreonach" - however "ríomhphost" is the word in general use. Again I am open to correction on any of the above. Le gach dea-ghuí Antóin |

Yes, you are right about "leabhar na dámh". I missed that. An Dámh = The Faculty Na Dámha = The Faculties Leabhar na Dáimhe = The Faculty Book Leabhar na nDámh = The Book of the FacultIES - To correct: "Luchtaigh leabhar treoraí na Dáimhe síos" -Phil |
