As this siter provides a copy and paste fada facility, it seems as if many people do not know how easy it is to set your keynboard to write fadas.
Click on START
Go to SETTINGS
Double Click KEYBOARD
Click LANGUAGE
Click ADD
Select ENGLISH (IRELAND)
Click both OK buttons

You now select English Irish from the EN icon near your clock in the bottom right hand corner of the desk top.
To make a fada press ctrl + alt + vowel simultaneously

I've got my keyboard set to "US International English" so all I have to do is press "Alt Gr" (right of spacebar) and the vowels simultaneously.

Simple as that.
