A chairde, Perhaps I am just not getting something, I know that the adjectives are placed after noun in a simple 'Tá' statement (Lesson 4--Ó Siadhail), but what does this mean... Tá Éirenn anseo ar na mapa agus tá tír mhór eile ansin. Does the second part of this sentance mean 'There is another big country there.' If not what is 'eile' doing in there. Sorry if there is any spelling mistakes, I don't have the book next to me... Thanks, John Kane |

Literally, word for word you'd get ...there is another country big there. Your translation, or interpretation is correct, as noted by Al. Le meas, James |

I heard that there is a web page of worksheets to acompany the Ó Siadhail book (did I misspell that?)... I was wondering if anyone would be able to direct me to that... Thanks agian. John Kane |

Yes -- you can get to it from http://nexus.brocku.ca/rogawa/gaelic/ If you're studying Ó Siadhail, you NEED these exercises! -- Al Evans |
