Hi, I've just started to study/learn Irish, and was wondering what the translation of my name would be: James. also my surname is May does anyone know where that might be from as far as specfic region and is that the original spelling? Thank You.

May is a common transliterate form used in English for the original Irish name. Mee is also well known.
