I am a very new beginner to the Irish language and I have several questions. I recently bought the book Irish On Your Own and it said that "k" was not included in their alphabet. My name being Kerry(I was named after County Kerry in Ireland), I always assumed my name was Irish. I was very confused as to if my name is truly Gaelic. Is there a translation of my name into Gaelic? Also, does anyone know the origin of the name? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Go raibh maith agat, Kerry Sheehan |

"Kerry" is the English version of the Irish "Ciarraí". |
