Since Anglicizing this, our family has either stubbornly pronounced it "foreign" or "Forhnnnn"(as they thought correct) or "FORE-han" in order to get people to spell it properly. However, I've gotten the impression somehow that it should be "Fore-HAINE". Any suggestions? I don't know if fadas were lost in the anglicization. Le meas, Ursula |

Ursula, A Chara, I'm not very good with pronunciations but I would render it Foor-in or Foor-ain with the emphasis on the Foor. Le meas, James P.S. hope that other info (off subject) helps! |
