I need some help in coming up with a song title translation. I would like the title to be something along the lines of: "Erin, My Beautiful Daughter" or just "My Beautiful Daughter" If possible, I'd love the pronunciation, too. Thanks! |

"M'iníon Alainn" Funny . . . that's exactly what I had guessed, based on my limited research! It just seemed too easy. Can anyone clarify the pronunciation for me--particularly which syllables are accented? I've seen a couple variations. My guess would be "min-EE-un AWE-lin" . . . And does the initial "A" in Alainn get a fada: "Álainn"? Thanks so much for helping! I hope to find a teacher soon, and start learning enough that I'll feel comfortable hanging out here. |

If anyone wants to get me closer to the actual pronunciation/stressed syllables, I'll appreciate it. I want to be as accurate as possible. |
