Friends of mine are getting married and want to put an inscription in Gaelic inside their wedding rings. I recommended: "i gcónaí agus go síoraí i ndiaidh" for "always and everafter", but they want a literal translation before they commit to that phrase. Can anyone help me?

Although word for word translations don't always work, it seems you've got a pretty straightforward translation here.

i gcónaí = always

agus = and

go síoraí = forever

i ndiaidh = after

Hope this helps.

Le meas,

James
