I am an Irish American just out of high school and interested in taking Celtic Studies, in particular Irish Studies, as a career. I was wondering if there is anyone here who has done the same and could give me some advice on the matter.

I know that the US only has Berkely and Harvard which offer the programs...but what I am looking for is more along the lines of what kind of jobs are out there for me with this degree? And also, would I be better off looking for a school outside the US? I think an Irish School would be a better place to take Celtic Studies after all, but at the same time, it sounds more exspensive and troublesome for something I may be able to get closer to home.

Any help would be appreciated.
