I just found this site and I think it is fantastic. I looked over the board and found some things similar to what I need, but not exactly. I am getting married in May and we are writing our own vows. My fiancee is of 100% Irish descent and my grandfather was full blooded and fiercely Irish. I would love to surprise her by saying somethig fairly short in Irish and then repeating it in English. Unfortunately I only know a couple Irish phrases and those are probably not entirely correct. I would like the vow to be either a short Irish poem or even better something traditionally said in a marriage ceremony in Ireland. Many thanks to any help. My email address is Nick Welch |
