I am a wood carver and need some help translating a few nouns. "Generation," "Covenant," "Inheretance" and "Legacy." Your assistance is most graciously appreciated. Jim Potts, Deep Gap, N.C. (on the crest of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.) |

Generation = glúin (if you mean generations of living things: the first generation to settle in the Blue Ridge Mountains) Generation = giniúint (if you mean the generation of electricity, heat and the like) Covenant = cúnant Inheritance = oidhreacht Legacy = leagáid, but usually oidhreacht, the same word as above. |

I have a follow up question. How would you say "Ten Generations" and "Generations" (as the plural of glúin?) Thanks, Jim |
