i am a copywriter for an advertising agency in detroit, michigan with an assignment that necessitates the use of the Irish language in the headline. the ad itself touts Chevrolet's sponsorship of the University of Notre Dame athletic program and the headline we would like to express in Irish is as follows:

"the official vehicles of the fighting irish."

any assistance that you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

the official vehicles of the fighting Irish :

1. Carbaid oifigiúla Ghaeil na trodaíochta

or :

or :

or :

4. Carbaid oifigiúla Ghaeil na troda

This latter, has a slight loss of meaning and 'achrann' has more 'strife' than fighting attaching to it.

or :

5. Carbaid oifigiúla Éireannaigh an achrainn.

Tá mé ag tógáil maide as uisce do Mhuintir na hAlban leis an gceann deiridh seo.
Admittedly, I'm trying to let the Scottish of the hook here, with no. 5, but I think it has all that you want.

I generally avoid a single word, like Éireannach, to accommodate the nationality.
