Well, being on the internet often, I started wondering.. what are the new computer words in Irish. Can anyone tell me the Irish for these words: internet, web site, e-mail, download, surf (the web) I believe someone told me that e-mail is "riamhphost". Is that it? I guess it would be a good idea to know the words since I do it all the time! Thanks! -Anam |

Anam all you ever wanted to know about computing in Irish: you'll find it here http://www.dcu.ie/fiontar/further/btfiontar/BTFiontar.html Fiontar is an Irish language department of Dublin City University that do a course in Computing and Business. They have put together a vocabulary for it, and posted it on the internet. Enjoy Aonghus |

Ríomhphost is the spelling of the Irish word for e-mail: teachtaireacht ríomhphoist, an e-mail message. |
