Hi.
Me and a friend of mine got into a small tiff and well... we're both prideful and well basically I would like to tell him I am sorry in Irish.
Basically to explain why I am asking for a translation of what I am down below, I'm Chinese and I don't even remember what we argued about but I got mad at him and basically implied said really to the effect that he didn't know his own culture enough to speak the language much less mine. It wasn't very nice and we both have rather hot tempers so I'd like to beg your help. To be exact I'd like to say:

"I want to apologise for being a jerk and ask that you forgive me for being pigheaded and saying that you couldn't speak Gaelic. If you'll forgive me I'd like to make amends and begin anew."

If anyone can give me a hand with that I'd be grateful and if someone is willing to strike up an email conversation and have a new penpal I'd like to learn from you more about the Irish culture and language. Thanks a lot.
