My Aunt and Uncles' 50th anniversary is in a couple of weeks; and I have to send out invites...I would like to scan their wedding picture and put something above it in Gaelic, such as 'come celebrate with us' or 'a 50th celebration' or something else that sounds good [something that I can really use without offending everyone!!:-)] Of course I need to send these out yesterday, so any help asap is appreciated deeply!!! My uncle is 72 and takes lessons in Gaelic. Pretty neat, huh?? Thanks, Patty

"An caogadú céiliúradh" means 'the 50th celebration' as far as I know.

Or "Ceiliúradh an Leathchéid" which means "Celebration of the Half-century." It sounds roundabout in English, but saying half-century instead of fifty is quite normal in Irish, same as you'd say three score instead of sixty.

How about "Ceiliúradh Leathchéad a bPósta" Celebration of them being married a half-century. "Ceiliúradh Leathchéad bhur bPósta" (of your being married...)
