Can anybody please tell me which is the text book (series) that is used to teach Irish in the schools in Ireland? I live in England, and have been learning Irish for a couple of years. Thanks. |

Dia Dhuit a Larry, There is no set series used throughout Ireland to teach Irish. I can just give you the names of the books I used/are using For the Junior Cert(GCSEs): Is Féidir Liom 1+2, Cúrsa Gaeilge don Teastas Sóisearach by Ruaidhrí Ó Báille. Publised by C.J. FALLON Scaoil Amach Arís É 3, Teastas Sóisearach Ardleibhéal by Ruaidhrí Ó Báille. Published by C.J. FALLON For Leaving Cert(A-Levels): Fiúntas [Sorry I can't remember the authors and publisher of hand] For Primary (Basic, really only for begineers but are nice easy reads. The flow of Irish is good): Soilse Series published again by C.J. FALLON I hope this has been of help to you. Can anyone else suggest any other school books? Colm - Corcaigh |
