I have just learned I am to be a Grandmother! I do not speak Irish and am not familiar with the sounds of the language. I would like to know the words for grandmother and grandfather, as well as any other words for these family members. A phonetic assistance with the words would be appreciated.

Formal Grandmother = sean-mháthair(SHAN-WAW-HER)
Formal Grandfather = sean-athair(SHAN AH-HER)

Informal Granny = Maimeo (MAM-O)
Informal Grandad = Daideo (DAD-O)
