I take it that Lorraine is not a Christian name but a French placename in origin. The name of the French province would most likely be transliterated as an Lorráin. I can see nothing wrong in using Lorráin (pr. between LORE-oyne and LORE-awn.) Would anyone else here add the 'e' back in?
