Can you recommend a good home study Irish language course for children? We would like to find a comprehensive course that's easy enough for kids. Thanks, V. Weymouth |

Fiosfeasa.com has a new CD-ROM called "An Chéad Choiscéim" (= The First Step) which is designed specifically for children beginning to learn Irish. Unfortunately, is runs only on Windows, not Mac, so I have not been able to try it. Perhaps someone else here can tell you more. |

Hi, a CD Rom from a company called Ceol Software has been very useful for both myself and my son. The website is www.ceolsoft.com and you can order the CD by sending a cheque to them. There are 1,200 words with pronunciation, sentences, grammar and it is very easy to use. My son loves it. I do recommend it. Good luck, Oilbhe. |
