I live right smack in the middle of the United States, a million miles from any native speakers - I would like to meet someone who can tutor me a little bit over the net, maybee once a week for an hour or so , on Yahoo messenger voice chat. If you have a computer with speakers and a mike, and Yahoo messenger, we're in business!
I have a couple books, some tapes, and I have found some exellent resources on the net, but a recording can't listen to me and tell me what I'm butchering - I have always been able to mimic accents so I hope I am not too bad at pronunciation, but I would like to speak with someone, both as a tutor and just to talk about life in Ireland. Any O'Rourke people (my Irish family's name) out there?

Anne and I are two enthusiastic, Irish primary school teachers from Galway with a deep knowledge of the Irish language. We would love to share our beautiful language with people in the USA this summer 2001 during our school holidays in July and August. If you are, or if you know of anyone who would be interested in employing us for all, or part of this time, I would be very grateful to you if you would forward their details to me so that we may discuss details.
Thanking you for any information,
Is mise le meas, Hilda
