Hi. I thought the appropriate spelling in "codladh sámh" was codladh; however I have seen it spelled codlah, as well as coladh, from users of this site. (See postings entitled "sleep well", and "grab a wink of sleep"). Are all three correct options as spellings of the same word?

Also, what about the word suan, as used to mean sleep? How and when would it be used?

codladh is the correct spelling, I misspelt it above.

suan is seldom used in speech. I'd classify it as poetic.
