Hello I am a member of a group that recreates past times, anything before 1600, to be exact. Our small local group has been looking for a name and I wanted one in Gaelic. My character is Irish, I figured if I was going to go back in time I would do it within my family tree. So we looked up lots of Gaelic words and came up with an idea. I need to know the proper way to pronouce, and also which forms are the proper ones. Where we live there has been a long history of pirates, so we though the "robber coast" would be fitting. The words we found were learg (coast) and creach and creachdair (plunder, robber). But I am unclear which one goes first and which form of creach should be used. Can you help or tell me who can? Thanks "Sorcha" Barbara Miller |
