We offer courses in the Irish Language at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels for adults throughout the year. Courses on other "Irish" subjects may be arranged.

We invite applications from groups of five or more for courses of a duration to suite the applicants. Courses would include archaeological trips, traditional music, insights into the history of the language and its literature.

A teacher accompanying a group would be facilitated should he/she wish to hold classes which would maintain continuity with their work at home.

Individuals or groups wishing to holiday without taking a course are also welcome.

I, Siobhá would be delighted to give you the brilliant start you need to learn Irish. If you already have a knowledge of Irish, I would be more than pleased to help you reach fluency. No matter why you wish to speak Irish, be it for school or out of interest or for whatever reason, I can guide you to proficiency.

Is mise Siobhán agus ba bhreá liom cabhrú leat feabhas a chur ar do chuid Gaeilge. Bheinn lán shásta tús den scoth a thabhairt dhuit muna bhfuil fiú is focal amháin agat. Dá mba rud é go dteasta&icaute;onn uait Gaeilge a labhairt le haghaidh ar scoil nó de bharr suime nó ar aon chúis eile, is féidir liom cabhrú leat líofacht a bhaint amach.

Depending on the student's individual needs, I use the many features offered by Skype to enhance the effectiveness of my teaching and to simplify the learning process. I can use Skype screen sharing to easily share my visual material with the student during the lesson. The instant messaging incorporated in Skype makes writing and spelling practice during class super easy and convenient.

Ag brath ar riachtanais&icaute;an duine aonair, bainim leas as gnéithe Skype a chuireann le héifeachtacht mo mhódhanna múinteoireachta agus a dhéanann é níos éascaí ar an dalta a gceachtanna a fhoghlaim. Úsáidim gné comhroinnte scáileáin Skype chun an t-ábhar oideachasúil atá agam ar mo ríomhaire féin a roinnt leis an dalta i rith ranga. Tá an comhéadan teachtaireachtaí meandracha atá in Skype go hiontach le haghaidh ag cleachtadh scríobhneoireachta nó litrithe.

Bunaíodh Craobh Phádraig Mhic Piarais i nGlaschú i 1895, an chéad chraobh taobh amuigh d'Éirinn. Bhí tráth ann agus bhí 14 chraobh de Chonradh na Gaeilge sa chathair. An lá atá inniu ann, níl ann ach craobh amháin agus í faoi rath agus faoi bhláth agus ag cur ar aghaidh na Gaeilge agus cultúr na hÉireann in Glaschú go fóill.

The Patrick Pearse branch of The Gaelic League was established in Glasgow in 1895 and was the first branch to be founded outside of Ireland. Of the 14 branches that once existed throughout the city, the Pádraig Pearse branch is still alive and flourishing and has been promoting the Irish Langauge and Irish culture in the city and beyond for the past 115 years.
